Bawadi Skylines is a large singular parcel spanning a 6 meter stretch in the heart of Dubailand. Destined for development as one of the largest retail malls in the world, it will accommodate and entertain the millions of new tourists to the area attracted by the expanding developments and theme parks emanating from the new international airport nearby. Quezada Architecture collaborated with Burt Hill on all design aspects of this project through the master plan and concept phases. Bawadi Skylines was conceived as an Oasis in the desert, designed around a water/ surf theme park attracting multi-age users and spectators alike. With 3 levels of hotel accommodations (3, 4, & 5 star) as well as serviced apartments, boutique retail, a convention center, and the largest spa in the world, the complex was designed to a first phase objective of nearly one million square feet.
