Quezada’s work for the Genentech Upper Campus totals 165,000 square feet in two buildings. The Upper Campus incorporates new construction and renovation including landscape, courtyards, connecting structure with canopy, terraced parking, and Transportation Demand Management (TDM). Building 24 is a 100,000 square foot multi-phase tenant improvement project and Building 25 is a 65,000 square foot build-to-suit project. Quezada designed the Upper Campus project from master plan to completion in 24 months. The renovation of Building 24 took place while the building was occupied which greatly increased the complexity of the delivery process. Both the site and buildings were programmed, designed and phased to thoughtfully establish a unified Upper Campus presence for the rapidly expanding biotech giant.
