Founded on Vision, Built on Innovation
Quezada Architecture was founded in 1994 by Alfred Quezada Jr., known to clients and colleagues as Fred. He established the firm in San Francisco during a period of extraordinary growth in Silicon Valley, when emerging technology companies were redefining how and where people worked.
Fred built the practice on a simple but powerful belief: architecture should be grounded, human, and deeply responsive to the client. As tech giants expanded across the Bay Area and US, the firm became a trusted partner for companies navigating rapid change, building both campuses and interiors for a wide range of clientele. Among its early and defining relationships were work for LucasFilm Ltd. and Microsoft where innovative design and technical rigor were paramount.
A New Generation of Leadership
In 2000, Cecilia Quezada joined the firm, bringing both a diverse portfolio and strategic clarity. Over nearly two decades, Fred and Cecilia grew the practice together expanding its reach nationally and internationally across corporate, hospitality, residential, and transportation.
In 2019, Fred retired, entrusting the future of the firm to Cecilia as President and majority shareholder. Soon after, Julia Campbell joined as Partner, forming the current women-owned leadership of QA. Together, Cecilia and Julia guide the firm with a balance of creativity, thoughtful collaboration, and a healthy dose of joy.
