Quezada Architecture, a multi-disciplinary design firm based in San Francisco, is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our diverse and talented team. Our work spans a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, and health & wellness. Interior Designer / Architect

The Interior Architect / Designer will work closely with senior staff to design and document the concept, layout, finishes, furniture and equipment for projects, as well as work on visualizing spaces for internal and client review. We are looking for someone who is creative, articulate, organized, and responsible with experience in high-end commercial office interiors and hospitality. Experience in retail, multi-family residential and other sectors is also valued.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture Program.

Experience

3-10 years of related experience working in a design studio in a similar position.

Qualifications, Skills and Software

• Hand sketching skills
• Familiarity with Building Codes and ADA
• Familiarity with modern furniture lines, desking solutions, and finish vendors
• Revit 2019 and beyond (mandatory)
• AutoCAD 2019 and beyond
• SketchUp (mandatory)
• MS Office (mandatory)
• Adobe InDesign & Photoshop (mandatory)
• Illustrator
• Enscape and V-Ray rendering skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with team in the design conceptualization and development of the project through hand sketches, SketchUp or Revit models and Adobe Creative Suite tools.
• Assisting the team with space planning and furniture layouts
• Selecting finishes for review and use in project
• Developing graphics for custom carpets, fabrics and print media
• Preparing project presentation materials such as boards, books, PowerPoints, and 3D mockups
• Attending client meetings to present design concepts
• Assisting in sub-consultant coordination as it pertains to interior design to maintain the integrity of the design intent
• Developing and maintaining vendor relationships to develop sources for project materials
• Assembling information from vendors and entering information into specification forms
• Documenting finishes on construction documents and specifications
• Construction Administration duties including answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and leading site observations
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Project Architect / Intermediate Architect

Candidates must have both the requisite experience and a passion for modern design, exceptional design sensibility and graphic skills, and a healthy sense of humor.

Job Summary

This position requires an individual who is experienced in the design and technical nuances of architecture. This is a key position in our firm where you will be collaborating on the design, documentation and consultant coordination on a wide array of project types. Experience in landscape design and/or urban planning a plus but not mandatory. More importantly, we are looking for someone who has experience in the design of complex projects as well as in all aspects of the project delivery process.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Architecture Program

Experience 
5-10 years of related experience working in a design office

Residential experience preferred

Licensed Architect
Must be able to initiate and create technical drawings for the SD, DD and CD phases of project documentation.

·      Manage and organize isolated tasks for larger projects

·      QA/ QC review and implementation
·      Code and Zoning review
·      Clash detection and manage efforts for Design/Build trades
·      Managing and preparing technical documentation of projects
·      Collaborates with other staff on workflow optimization between technical drawings and 3D visualizations
·      Develop details
·      Prepare client presentations and attend client meetings QA / QC review and implementation
·      Prepare and issue Bid Documents
·      Prepare Permits Sets
·      Mentor junior staff
·      Clash detection and manage efforts for Design/Build trades
·      Managing and preparing technical documentation of projects and 3D visualizations
·      Keeping current with software upgrades
·      Attending client presentations and meetings
·      Preparing and issuing Bid Documents
·      Assisting in Construction Administration

All work is to be done on premises in our San Francisco office, or virtually until safe to be in the office post-COVID-19. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
