Blackline
QA recently completed this Design-Build Tenant Improvement in partnership with  Webcor. This is a client and a construction team who we have worked with for  the past 15 years, building trust by utilizing transparent communications and pricing throughout the entirety of the process whilst developing creative  solutions and ideas.

Blackline is a financial technology company that has moved from a largely private office environment to a hybrid, free address, and open, collaborative office.

The Caviar Co.
The Caviar Co. is a sister-owned sustainably-caught caviar brand founded in San  Francisco. This cleverly branded caviar tasting lounge features a champagne  vending machine and rich, natural materials.

Amy's Kitchen
This project in downtown Petaluma is an adaptive reuse of a historic building, updating an old department store into a home for the local Company and a vibrant center for hosting events with the community. The design is centered around a tasting and demonstration kitchen which is the heart of the three-story atrium space.

The full seismic retrofit and mezzanine ties the existing fabric of the building together and provides additional floor area. The Project will serve as a sustainable model through adaptive reuse, energy efficiency strategies, a commitment to source 100% renewable off site energy, and low-impact materials.
2022
Affiliated Engineers, Inc.
The new  San Francisco office for AEI is a great example of a lean budget with big impact. AEI are consulting engineers (MEP, Fire, Life Safety) who were integrally involved in the design and delivery of the Project. QA strategically intervened in an existing office fit-out focusing design and  budget on the community and amenity areas.

We facilitated a design process where all disciplines collaborated to design a custom divider behind reception. This screen showcased all the  piping, cable trays and conduit that goes into a coordinated ceiling design,  highlighting the communal spaces, and paying homage to their craft.
2021
Squalo Vino
This new wine tasting lounge in Tiburon brings a natural, warm, sophisticated touch to Main Street’s historic shopping row. Located near the popular ferry station, this space serves as a welcome respite for commuters and visitors alike. Our design team worked with the client on even the smallest details to ensure materials were cohesive, elegant, and responsibly sourced.

The steel wall behind the bar was custom fabricated by a local workshop to perfectly accommodate their cold pour system, glasses, and merchandise.

Uber SF Headquarters
QA Wins AIANY Honor Award,
Chicago Athanaum Awards for Uber
The San Francisco Headquarters for Uber Technologies, located in the heart of  Mission Bay, is comprised of one 6 story structure and one 11 story structure  connected by transparent bridges spanning Pierpoint Lane. Both buildings feature state-of-the-art motorized, “breathing” facades which open to full  height atriums blurring the lines between interior and exterior space.

Included in the program are offices, cafes, childcare, and ground floor  retail. QA collaborated with SHoP Architects NYC on the architecture.
